Abstract

The teaching of Islamic Religious Education in elementary schools which has been carried out so far is only concerned with teaching Islamic Religious Education so that students can pray, pray and read the Koran. Adequate PAI learning is learning that shapes a person of faith, is obedient in carrying out worship and has good character. The material presented includes: aqidah akhlak, Al Quran Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic dates which can create competency standards across the SD PAI curriculum, subject clusters, subjects and educational unions. The method used: lectures, question and answer, discussion, exemplary, habituation, advice, giving attention, punishment and gifts that can deliver and shape students who are experiencing intellectual / mature development in school. Educators who are right to carry out PAI learning are educators who meet the standards of academic qualifications and standards of pedagogical, personal, social and professional competencies according to their field of work and work.
