METODOLOGI STUDI ISLAM SECARA SIMULTAN DI INDONESIA: PENDEKATAN MIXED METHOD DALAM KAJIAN KONTEMPORER
Abstract
This study explores the simultaneous methodology in Islamic studies in Indonesia using a mixed-methods approach to understand the interplay between normative, historical, and cultural perspectives. The quantitative component analyzes the patterns of methodological integration among 212 Islamic studies scholars from ten major Indonesian universities through structured surveys. The qualitative phase complements these findings via in-depth interviews with fifteen leading researchers, focusing on epistemological reflections, practical challenges, and future prospects of integrated Islamic study methods. Results reveal an increasing trend toward interdisciplinary approaches, particularly in integrating textual (tafsir and fiqh), contextual (history and sociology), and philosophical perspectives. However, methodological fragmentation and institutional compartmentalization remain barriers to holistic integration. This study contributes to the development of an inclusive and context-sensitive methodological framework that is epistemologically grounded, empirically tested, and culturally relevant.
