Kebijakan Lingkungan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan
Abstract
The urgency of environmental protection amid the climate crisis has triggered global and national agendas to adopt sustainable development policies. This study aims to explore how environmental policy in Indonesia supports sustainable development goals (SDGs) by analyzing policy frameworks, stakeholder involvement, and implementation barriers. Using a mixed-method approach, this research combines quantitative analysis of environmental performance indices in 10 provinces with qualitative data from interviews with government officials, NGOs, and academic experts. The findings show a positive correlation between regional environmental policies and ecological performance, particularly in provinces with clear strategic plans and multi-stakeholder collaboration. However, challenges persist in regulatory enforcement, institutional coordination, and public participation. The study applies the Policy Implementation Theory and the Triple Bottom Line framework to understand the multidimensional aspects of environmental governance. The results suggest that effective environmental policy for sustainable development must integrate ecological, social, and economic dimensions while emphasizing participatory and adaptive governance. Recommendations are proposed for strengthening regulatory frameworks, capacity building, and local innovation support to accelerate the realization of Indonesia’s green economy vision.
