VALUASI SUMBER DAYA ALAM DAN LINGKUNGAN
Abstract
Natural Resource and Environmental Valuation (NREV) is a critical foundation in designing sustainable development policies, especially in developing countries facing increasing ecological degradation. This study aims to analyze the valuation mechanisms of natural and environmental resources in Indonesia using a mixed-method approach. Quantitative data were obtained through contingent valuation surveys (CVS) distributed to 400 respondents in two provinces, while qualitative data were collected via interviews with environmental economists, local government officials, and non-governmental actors. The research identifies significant economic values in non-market environmental goods, such as clean water, biodiversity conservation, and carbon sequestration services. However, methodological limitations, regulatory fragmentation, and lack of institutional capacity undermine the implementation of valuation outcomes in policy-making. The findings suggest that while there is increasing public awareness and willingness to pay for ecosystem services, the current governance framework lacks the necessary mechanisms to integrate valuation into budgeting and environmental licensing. The study recommends strengthening regulatory coherence, enhancing technical capacity for environmental valuation, and fostering multi-stakeholder participation. A valuation model that integrates economic, ecological, and sociocultural dimensions is proposed to support environmental justice and long-term sustainability
