KEMISKINAN DAN PROBLEMATIKA EKONOMI UMAT

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomenon of poverty and the economic problems of Muslims from the perspective of Islamic economics literature. This study uses a library research method by analyzing relevant recent sources. It was found that poverty is not only caused by economic factors, but also by an unfair economic system structure, low Islamic economic literacy, and weak management of Islamic financial instruments such as zakat and waqf. Islam offers a comprehensive solution through equitable wealth distribution, Sharia-based economic empowerment of the community, and spiritual strengthening. This study recommends optimizing the role of Islamic institutions, early Islamic economic education, and collaboration between Islamic scholars, the government, and the community to address the community's economic problems in a sustainable manner.
