STRATEGI MANAJEMEN INVESTASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA KEUANGAN UMKM PEMBUATAN TEMPE
Abstract
This study explores investment management strategies aimed at enhancing the financial performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the tempeh production sector. Tempeh, as a traditional Indonesian food product, holds significant economic potential for MSMEs. However, many tempeh-producing enterprises face challenges related to limited capital, inefficient resource allocation, and suboptimal investment decisions, which hinder their financial performance and business sustainability. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze investment management strategies that can improve financial outcomes such as profitability, cash flow stability, and business growth. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, the research collects data through in-depth interviews with tempeh MSME owners, financial analysis, and literature review. The findings indicate that strategic investment in modern production equipment, raw material quality control, workforce training, and digital marketing significantly contributes to financial improvement. Additionally, the application of simple financial planning tools and collaboration with cooperatives or financial institutions also proves effective in managing capital and reducing operational risks. The study concludes that a well-structured investment strategy tailored to the specific needs of tempeh MSMEs is essential for improving financial performance and ensuring long-term viability. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers, business advisors, and MSME practitioners in designing support mechanisms and capacity-building programs. Further research is recommended to quantify the long-term impact of these strategies on financial indicators and to explore scalable models for other traditional food MSMEs across Indonesia.
