KETELADANAN INSTITUSIONAL SEBAGAI PILAR PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK MUSLIM TADIKA PERPADUAN MALAYSIA
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the role of institutional role modeling as a pillar in shaping the character of Muslim students at Tadika Perpaduan Batu Lancang, Penang, Malaysia. The focus of this research is directed toward examining the interrelation between institution, institutional culture, and school environment in fostering character education values based on Islamic education principles in early childhood. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a field study approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews conducted by students participating in the Community Service Program (KPM) and the International Teaching Practice Program (PPL) of STIT Al Washliyah Aceh Tengah. The results indicate that institutional role modeling functions as a strategic instrument capable of integrating spiritual and social values within educational and sociocultural processes. The findings highlight the importance of synergy between institutions, institutional structures, and school culture in nurturing a generation of virtuous Muslim students and developing their character to be better prepared for technological advancement and more socially empathetic amidst the growing individualism in society. This study provides practical contributions to strengthening Islamic education management based on exemplary leadership and offers valuable insights for developing character education policies in both Malaysia and Indonesia.
